Fueled by an intoxicating blend of my geographic roots and restless state of mind, I call this Adventuring at a Higher Latitude. I write about Nature’s finest and everything else, too, from children’s books and biographies to inspirational and humor. I also have an occasionally updated blog that I don’t pay enough attention to (I’ll get better!) but stay tuned for new content.

Adventures

Feels like a good time to get outside. Where to? Up here in the Northland we fancy woods filled with birch and balsam fir and maple. And lakes!

What inspires you? Climbing mountains, paddling a river, camping in way-out-there wilderness, hiking a lakeside trail, looking into forever from a desert high point. Decadence delivered (just walk right in!) and I’ll show you some of the best, from the Upper Midwest to the Pacific Coast.

Updating as I can, here you’ll find adventures of various flavors, with a something a little extra. Come along to your favorite haunts or new additions to your life list, but don’t just go there. I’ll share notes on what matters about those places for a more intimate connection to your outdoors. Enjoy!
